Keeping Paintball Relevant

Know What Your State Requires

Every state is different, so please make sure you are following their instructions. We have heard from dealers that if you have questions you can contact your Chamber of Commerce or your Health Department. It is safe to think that they don’t understand your business or how paintball is played. Be sure you ask the correct questions and bring to their attention vital aspects of the sport.

Some of those points should be:
  1. How far apart should groups be? With the amount of acres my property has I can separate groups of “X” far enough apart.
    • Businesses are normally attached to other businesses within the same building/complex.  That is a more confined space than an outdoor paintball field and each business can have x consumers.
  2. Paintball is a Safe Game for Social Distancing and Here is Why:
    • Unlike other activities Paintball games are played on large stretches of land and that keeps players from being in close contact
    • Players do not share equipment. Participants all wear their own face protection, and often wear long sleeves, gloves, and pants reducing the surface of their body that can come in direct contact with contaminated surfaces
    • Participants will be in private parties so they already know the ones within their group and trust that each one in their group is doing their best to protect themselves and each other.

Even while observing the State mandated rules regarding the pandemic control, remember you can still have an open line of communication with your customers through social media. Keep pumping out content and keep paintball relevant.

A decent amount of paintball stores will still be open since they fall within the gathering limits.  Work with them to communicate to your player base  that if their local field is unable to offer them a place to play over the next month, this does not mean they can’t play paintball.

Contact your local paintball store for all of your paintball needs.

Physical Distancing & Paintball

The game of Paintball is mostly carried out outdoors, with fresh air, and away from areas congested with people.

When going to play paintball you are in a vast, open and outdoors space with a very small number of participants instead of being in a limited space with a high concentration of people like a friend’s house, parks, restaurants, shops, or a stadium.

In paintball there is no physical contact between people and the number of times people come into close contact with each other is very small.

The contact between players while playing is practically non-existent as, usually, the minimum distances for shots are 5-10 feet or approx. 3 yards / 2.74 meters.

A Clean Playing Environment

When you go to play paintball at your local field you are given your own set of rental equipment for your personal use.

This paintball rental equipment is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected with appropriate, approved products before being assigned to you and each customer.

In paintball pro shops and field buildings, the areas where paintball participants pass through are cleaned daily.

Paintball facility restrooms are also cleaned regularly every day.

Try Paintball, it’s fun!

Paintball has been described as one of the most enjoyable adrenaline action games in the world! Players work together with their teammates to run, dive, creep, crawl and sneak towards and around opponents to tag them with paintballs and attempt to capture an opposing team’s flag to win! Paintball, when payed with friends and family, is enjoyable, great exercise and ideal for church groups, corporate team-building, school outings or just plain having fun outside, off the couch and in the action!

Moreover, it is a recreational game and sport played by millions of men and women of all ages and walks of life around the world. Each weekend they enjoy time with friends and family, an amazing adrenaline rush and a few hours out of the house. Often compared to a live-action video game, paintball offers men, women, boys and girls an enjoyable, amazing experience like nothing else in the world!

The game itself is open to all ages, but while paintball safety equipment is, generally, one-size-fits-all, younger players often cannot be safely fitted with goggles and face masks, limiting ages to around ten. However, the advent of low-impact paintball and more youth-specific equipment has opened the doors to even younger paintball players, allowing children as young as eight and nine to get in on the action and fall in love with paintball in a safe, organized and supervised environment!

Paintball can be played inexpensively, with rental equipment and admission generally costing between 20 and 50 dollars for a day of play at any local paintball park. More serious players who enjoy playing regularly and want to own their own equipment can spend hundreds on their equipment if they so-desire. Paintball equipment from safety goggles to paintball guns, clothing and accessories are available at prices to fit almost any budget or preferred style of play.

Reservations are generally required to play the game of paintball if players intend to bring a large group. For example, those intending to enjoy a day of paintball with a bachelor party, church group, birthday party or corporate business outing should contact their local paintball park to set up reservations. Most parks and fields offer private group rates and even package discounts and deals for parties and groups! For reservations and more details you can go to TRYPAINTBALL.COM. That said, more experienced players, once they’ve acquired their own paintball equipment, often simply show up at the local field for “pick-up” games or “walk-on” games in which players are separated by skill level to ensure a safe and enjoyable day of play!
